Blue eyes ghost

Time freezes as I lose myself in your eyes, blue like the ocean, pulling me into a dream where nothing else matters.
Minutes melt into hours, the spark between us burning bright. Your love is my fuel.
Suddenly, a shatter snaps me out of it. I jolt and squeeze your arm, only, you're not there.
I rub my eyes. I'm alone. The room is dark, empty.
I begin getting ready for bed and go to check on the noise. A glass has fallen from the table. The only culprit? My cat, Daisy.
I scoop her up, and we head off to bed.
At 3 a.m., I awaken to a knock on the window. It's you, my love.
The dreamy, blue eyed boy, giggling and tapping softly. Your eyes hypnotize me. I fall into your trance.
I press my hand to the window. You press yours back. Nothing separates us but the glass.
You beckon me with that grin, still giggling, motioning for me to follow.
I throw on my jacket, slip on my shoes, and rush outside, chasing after you.
Adrenaline pumps through me as I run.
Then, crack. Reality hits.
I bash my head on a tree branch. You’re gone.
I stumble back toward the house... but trip.
Over a shovel.
And next to it,
A hole.
Inside it...
You.
My dreamy, blue-eyed love—
Did I do this?
